Costa Rica Home Inspections

Are you planning to buy a house or building in Costa Rica? Don't close the deal without a professional building inspection.

The building you are about to buy (even if it is new) may:

not have grounded wall outlets
have inadequate electrical cables which function poorly and are fire hazards
not have hot water at the kitchen sink or in the wash room or maid's quarters
have cracks in the walls and ceilings which have been plastered and painted over
have poor quality plumbing which lead to constant clogged and over-flowing toilets

These are just a few of the common problems found in Costa Rican buildings. But it takes a trained eye to spot some of these serious defects.

Once detected, the defects may mean a large additional investment to bring the house up to standard. With the inspection results, the seller will often drop the overall price of the building to cover such repairs or improvements.
